-Everyone know it is bad luck when you drop a book of
mormon, as missionaries however when you drop one, your future husband gets
uglier. Poor sister Watt has dropped one multiple times.
-I have seen more scary little gnomes here than in my entire
life combined... This is one of the creepiest with its little head tilted.. we
took this right before chapping this door..
This week was good. I just want to clarify, that last week
was rubbish but not the end of the world. haha I got a lot of emails of people apologizing
for my terrible week and I didn’t read over my last email before I sent it, and
I guess it did sound like I was complaining haha. But just so everyone is aware
it was a good week! A lot went wrong, but it still good :)
So we did a lot of chapping. Trying to build up our teaching
pool with not a lot of success. We meet really interesting people every day. We
are also trying to get back to our roots of street contacting which isn’t
really anyone’s favorite part of being a missionary but it's got to be done. We
have met a couple of promising potentials so fingers crossed!
Last Monday the Duncanson's had us over for FHE with Marie
and Victoria. It was their first FHE and it went great! They fed us pasta with
garlic bread, so I was happy! Then their daughters had a lesson on service. It
was cute and the Devines loved it!
On Friday we had our very first NACHO NIGHT! We (the 4
missionaries) wanted to have an activity to get the ward excited about
missionary work and that they would feel comfortable with inviting their
friends to and so we could meet some of them. So we had a night where we ate
nachos, watched Mormon messages, and played games. It was a simple night yet it
was really fun and a lot of people showed up! The Devines car was having
troubles so sister watt and I picked up some fish and chips and went over to
theirs for dinner. Then we took Victoria with us on the bus into motherwell to
the church. It was a really fun night except afterwards we had to wait for
about 30 minutes in the rain for a bus and poor Victoria was freezing cuz she
was in little shoes and a thin sweater. Luckily she had her brolly (unbrella,
that's a new one for you) so she could stay dry, but sister watt and I don’t
believe in brollys cuz they don’t do much when you are just in rain all day
long!
We had stake conference this week so we caught a train into Glasgow
with the elders early Sunday morning. It was pretty good and pres and sister
brown even came and spoke for a bit. Nice change of a Sunday with a lot of good
speakers!
Good week! Next week is moves call... kind of sad, this
transfer went way too quickly! Today is our last pday in Glasgow with
everyone.. mission time goes way too fast! Have a great week!
Love, Sister Hulet
