Week 16 | Hamilton, Scotland

Ryan is offically a missionary! So weird to think about! I hope he is enjoying the mtc! He will do great things :)

Last week we had another All Scotland Conference. It was really good to see all the missionaries serving in Scotland! Elder Teixeira from the 70 came and spoke with his wife, and by spoke, i mean rebuked! It was a little weird being rebuked by somebody so high up, but i guess we deserved it? I put a ? there becuase i honestly dont think we deserved it that much! He told us we need to stop moaning about not having cars (which, i dinne think we even did but apparently so..) and how there are missionaries in africa walking everywhere and getting way more baptisms than us, and we were all like... uh... sorry? it was a bit odd. also he kind insulted President Brown which made us all a bit mad cuz he's an amazing president! BUT other than that, it was good. Pres and sister Brown talked which i always love! Sister Brown especially, cuz she is the coolest! She emailed sister watts mom the other day a whole lot of history on the watt family from scotland, because sister watts great great grandfather baptised hers! Which she was really excited about! We got to eat pretty good food and catch up with all of the missionaries! Too bad sister Galbraith was in Ireland cuz i miss her and wanted to say hi! The mission is getting so big! i will attach the picture we took of all the scotland missionaries, and ireland is much smaller but still, a lot of them!

We got to do some service with the elders this week.  A new family moved into the ward from England and so we went over and helped with a bunch of yard work and window cleaning and stuff. It was really fun! There was this little pond with gross black water but as we started cleaning it up a bit, we noticed there were a bunch of little tadpoles swimming around in it. So, i told elder phippen i would give him a £ if he ate one... so he did! it was pretty awesome! Sister Watt recorded it, but its too big to send sadly, but it was hilarious! We then had to go from working to a baptism. A little girl Kezia got baptised and she was so excited and nervous! Shes cute and it was fun to see! Victoria and Marie were in Edinburgh for the day so they missed it! Which sucks cuz it wouldve been good for them to be there for! BUT they were both at church yesterday and loved it! I just canne put into words how excited i am for them! They are like my 2 favorite people in the whole world! After the all scotland conference we went over to theirs and they ordered in food for us! They were like, "We figured you had a long day of travelling so wanted to get you some food. sister hulet we ordered you fish and chips cuz we remember you saying how much you liked haddock chippys, and we got you a coke since you were craving one the other day, and sister watt we know you only like water so we got you this and ordered some chinese cuz you said you like it." We were just so happy! and we showed them the book of mormon videos and they loved them! It was a great day and night!

We had to drop Kieran the other day sadly, cuz he just wasnt keeping commitments or meetings with us. We talked with him at his door and he said he still really wanted to learn but he smelled like weed and just kept repeating himself then lied when we asked him if he was high so we were like "well kieran you have our number if you decide to stop being an idot!" But we were a little bit nicer... We were sad the rest of the day.

Transfers are next week and i am super mad cuz this transfer went waaaay to quickly! I hope motherwell ward stays the same.. but probably not. It has been so great!
