So we are finally doing a lot of service! I love putting on trousers to leave the flat rather than a skirt to be honest. But we have a member who is redoing her back yard all on her own so we have been over there a lot digging up old bushes and plants and trying to sort everything out. It is a lot of hard work but i honestly have never been so excited to do yard work in my life! Also, we have a new family to the motherwell ward from the bottom of england. They are just trying to move in and so we are helping with that and with the yard work of the new house as well. I am finally getting down some of the members names, but i'm still not very good at it. But the members here are great and I am starting to really love this ward!
We were at the bus stop waiting to go to church yesterday, and the buses on sunday are rubbish and sometimes just decide not to come, so we were waiting forever and 2 members walked up and were like hey! Lets get a taxi, so we took a taxi to church and i felt super cool. Also, there was a visitor there who was born in scotland then has been living in Cali for the past like 15 years and is a recent convert to the church and was just here visiting her mum, so she started talking to us a lot and gave us a ride home and money for a meal. She was awesome! (mum, she was raised in paisley and named her daughter paisley after it, and i told her you would be jealous cuz you loved that idea and the name). But the best part about yesterday was... MARIE came to church!! and she LOVED it!! Ah, im just so excited for her! She came into relief society with us and thought it was good, but then sister watt taught the lesson in Gospel principles class about eternal marriage and it was really good, and marie loved it and even made some comments, she loves the idea of temples :) and so it went really well and everyone was super friendly to her. In sacrament she wanted to sit inbetween us so she could have "helpers on either side" when she had a question. She loved the first talk cuz it was so basic and simple and she said it was meant for her and answered a lot of questions! The last speaker, was kind of harsh and basically rebuked the whole ward and sister watt and i kept making scared eye contact with each other cuz we didnt know how marie would take it, but aferwards all she cared about was how good the first talk was and so that was good! Victoria couldnt come because she was out way late babysitting so was too tired, but we went over to theirs last night and showed them Pres monsons talk on obedience and they both were glued to the tv! They love the idea of a prophet on the earth and were really excited to watch him talk! I love them so much, its crazy! I just want them to be happy and for things to work out for them in their lives! Also, marie met the bishop yesterday and she said, "i am just so glad the sisters chapped my door when they did." and he said, "I know that These sisters were sent here for you marie." and sister watt and i were like.. secret down low fist bump! best day. ever!
We have been on the train a lot this past week traveling.. So i have like a million weird pictures i could send of us bored on a train, but i will just send a sample haha. We also both fell asleep on the train the other day and i woke up in luckily right before the last stop and was like.. uh sister watt wake up, we've got to get off! it was a funny story... but a little irresponsible i guess. Sister watt is awesome. she has a blog too if you wanna read it, i dunno if she writes mean things about me on there though but you can look anyway :) www.sisterchristinewatt.
