Week 17 | Hamilton, Scotland

So I officially survived my second major moves call! Elder Brown Cunningham is going to Northern Ireland and we are getting a new elder to our ward. BUT the good news is, Sister Watt and I are staying in Hamilton!! Sister Watt kind of wanted to leave just cuz she has been here her whole mission, but she was alright with staying cuz of our good news.... wait for it... Marie and Victoria are getting baptised!!!!!!! They accepted a date for the 24th of August! I have never been this excited about anything in my entire life!! They have come to church every week and love it! They wanted to wait to get baptised cuz they didnt want to be rushed into it, but we talked to them and told them that they were ready and to pray about it, then to come to church expecting an answer and they got it! They also took us out to dinner last week at this huge buffet and got us fancy dessert! ( i took pictures but, we are in motherwell library cuz we've been helping members move all day, and so i didnt have time to run home and get my camera so i will send pictures of it next week!) I love them.

This week we have done a lot of chapping. We have had to drop a lot of potentials and investigators lately so it has been some low couple of weeks, number wise. But we have had some amazing lessons with those we are still working with.

Cool story, So last week, we were on the train and the guy working who comes through and checks our tickets, stopped to check ours and saw our tags and sat down and started talking with us about his relationship with God. The car was pretty empty so, it was cool cuz he just started telling us all these things about how he doesnt really believe in god but he hopes he is there and then we just had like a lesson with him and we both just bore our tesitmonies on how the knowledge that there is a god has helped us so much in our lives. He then said, "well do you love god more than your families cuz i dont think you could ever." and sister watt said, "well we left our families for 18 months to serve him.. so i think we can safely say yes, we love him more than our families." and it was pretty solid, but he still was like, yeah well, how can you do that? and i said, "Just the knowledge that without god, we wouldnt even have our families i think." and he was like, "okay well that makes sense.." and for some reason he was just so into what we were saying we talked almost the whole ride home, then other passengers got on that he had to check, so he left without us getting his information or anything.. but it was a really cool expirience!

I am really excited to be here in Hamilton again, serving with sister watt! I will try to get a picture from her of us with the elders our last week at church together. Good stuff! Love you all!

Have a great week :)
