Week 7 | Scotland

Hiya from Kirkcaldy :)
A lot has happened this last week! First off, you are welcome for FINALLY going exploring on a pday so you can have some cool pictures to look at and be jealous of the amazing place i live in! We went to the coast with the elders and played some football and skipped rocks and dumb stuff like that. Then we hiked along the beach (barefoot, which hurt because the beaches are rocks, not sand) to the Ravenscraig castle ruins! They were empty so we got to run through them and it was really fun. They are not way too big but the old rooms and hidden dungeons were pretty neat! I hope you enjoy the pictures we took :) I climbed up this little wall and sister hopkin is like a worried mother, and just kept shouting "sis hulet please be careful!" from down below! Haha she truely is like our mom, always keeping us in line. We also found a dead crab on the beach and sis hopkin and galbraith hate sea creatures and so they freaked out over it. I wish these pictures did the place justice so you could see just how amazing it is. But it was a great day! Except... on the way home it started pouring rain! like seriously i couldnt keep my eyes opened, which it usually doesnt do very much over here. We get back to just outside our flat where the elders had to catch their bus home to glenrothes and elder cellestini realises he left his sweater on the beach. (because he is italian and fancy he wore like a fancy shirt tie and cardigan to the beach... haha he kills me) So the elders waited for the bus and the three of us sisters RAN to the beach to find it for him. (it is still pouring keep in mind) Well i was in the front of the pack and i was running down wet cobblestone steps and slipped, i hit the ground soo hard! bruised my tailbone for sure, but jumped up and kept running so we could get back to the elders before their bus. We found the sweater and on our way back the street we had been on moments ago was now flooded with water up to our knees.. we didnt really think "hmm that's not normal to have that much water that quickly" but we waded through it and delivered the cardigan. We then found out that that water we just went through was a busted sewer line mixed with so much rain! So gross! we cleaned our clothes/shoes twice! All that for a cardigan..
Last friday was Liz and Gordon's wedding! They are two memebers of the ward and they are really cool! Liz is actually born in scotland but lived in canada most of her life and she loves the missionaries so always feeds us and talks with us like we're family. So we got invited to the wedding! oh, side note: Here they don't get married in the temple, they have to have a civil marriage first then can be sealed the same day in the temple if they want. The reason is that it is a law that the queen has to be able to attend any wedding, and since she doesnt have a current temple recomend that we are aware of, they must first be married like in the church or something. So they had a little ceremony in the church and It was just, the 5 missionaries, her son, her friend, the bishop, his mom, and the witnesses (the sims). It was really exciting cuz i love weddings!
We have been doing a lot of finding and street contacting lately! Like a lot! Our numbers have gone down a lot this last week but we are still working hard and trying to get some progressing investigators. We had tea with the Sharffs! They are like the coolest family in the world. Sis Sharff served a mission in Florida and her husband served his in england. They have a son, Ritchie who is going to serve a mission once he finishes Uni, which will be in a couple of years. They also had their friend over who just got back from a mission in Madagascar! It was such a fun day yesterday! Also, it has been really sunny the past few days but its back to normal and cloudy today!
I hope everyone has a great week!
Love, Sister Hulet
