East Scotland Conference down in Edinburgh

Last week we got to have the East Scotland Conference down in Edinburgh. So Wednesday night we traveled down to spend the night in Dundee with the sisters there which was a lot of fun. Then we drove the rest of the way at 6 on Thursday morning. To say it was a good conference just doesn’t do enough, it was one of the best conferences I have had on my mission. Elder Dyches was there along with his wife. They were really really good! Like I mean really good! I am pretty bad at taking notes cuz I always get to caught up in what they are saying so for me, the less notes, the better the conference, and I wrote down like 2 things all day! The spirit is just so strong in a room packed with missionaries. It still hits me hard every time I go to one of those like, "wow I am a missionary?" it doesn’t register some days.

 

At the conference we were all standing getting ready for a picture when in the door walked SISTER GILBERT and we had to keep our cool cuz everyone was trying to pose for this big group picture so she just silently snuck in beside me for the picture so both of our faces are just huge cheesy grins cuz we hadn’t seen each other in so long! haha oh man I missed her! so I got to hang out with her all day! plus I saw a lot of my old mates as well so that was good!

 

Everyone is leaving for the summer so we haven't had much going on. Members, investigators and potentials are just disappearing for a wee while til like late august! It’s kind of lame.

 

We have been waking up almost every morning to go play football with the 4 elders in our ward. It’s so fun! Except we meet at 5:45 so I am missing my sleep.. But it’s worth it for the football!
