Week 66 | Aberdeen, Scotland

Laura, going to the Birmingham Mission

So I don't think much has happened this past week, but the only thing I knew I was going to email yous about happened on Friday I think. So Sister Solum and I were walking in the city near some shops, we had just grabbed some food from a place and were walking/eating. She had a pizza and I had some Yumyums (they are like delicious doughnuts, well like a mix between a glazed doughnut and a croissant) So suddenly this HUGE seagull flew at us, so saw it coming, covered my food and ran into the nearest building, but sister solum wasn’t so lucky. The bird flew at her face, she ducked just in time, then it quickly turned around and flew at the back of her head, slamming into her and nearly knocking her down! It was one of the funniest moments here in Aberdeen.. oh I have been laughing for days at that! Aren’t I such a good mother? I saved the food rather than my child.

So we are teaching this girl called Yangdan. She is Chinese and 23. She is working here. She came to church with us yesterday and enjoyed it! She is just a really sweet nice, genuine person and it’s just crazy to teach her cuz she has no real religious knowledge so it’s literally working from scratch, but it is nice because I enjoy teaching about God as our heavenly father, and Jesus Christ.

Oh there is this awesome girl, Laura, in the ward. She just got her mission call to the Birmingham mission; I was really hoping she would go to St George, but oh well Birmingham is awesome too! I will send a picture of us. She comes teaching with us all the time and always feeds us!

Well... have a good week!

Love, Sister Hulet

xx
