Week 56 | Aberdeen, Scotland

Events from last week:We helped paint a huge fence, got to see a parade with a member (Stella) and then we got to make American food for Mimi and her friends from Africa! We always go over to Mimi's on Saturdays and she makes us African food, so this week we decided to cook for them the most American things possible.. So we made chilli cheese dogs with MacNCheese on the side (proper Kraft macncheese from the American food isle in Tesco). They enjoyed it alright, or they were just being polite..

So Monday was a bank holiday which meant no emailing so just a long pday. Which is always fine with me! Tuesday we had an East Scotland Conference in Dundee where all the missionaries from the Edinburgh, Dundee, and Aberdeen stks meet together. It was really really good! President Brown is still the greatest and the spirit is always so great at those things!

Funny story about the conference.. I SANG! yeah I did! in front of everyone! So since sister Crawley is so musical and fantastic, she was in charge of a musical number, and she somehow got me and the elders from our ward involved. We sang a mash up of Ye elders of Israel and Sister in Zion! There was a part where it was just acapella and we all sang different parts and I was singing soprano ALONE! I was soooo nervous! Like honestly I don’t know why but I have never been that nervous for anything! But I didn’t ruin it, and it went alright.

Well the summer is coming, we wake up every morning to the sun and it also doesn’t get dark at 3 anymore! In fact, the sun is still visible as we are heading in for the night! Aberdeen is great, Sister Crawley is great, this is the greatest mission in the world! See you on Sunday :)

Love, Sister Hulet
