Winter is here! I finally broke out my winter coat instead
of my rain jacket with layers. It was so warm and nice! My typical outfit like every
day is black waterproof boots, tights, skirt, coat, scarf and hat! Not too much
variety, but it keeps me warm. My coat is a bit too comfortable and every time I
put it on I sink into it and want to sleep, It is so hard to stay awake on
buses and trains now.. well it has always been kind of hard but now it is even
harder.
Last week was jam packed and very very busy! We had zone
conference on Wednesday so got to see President and Sister Brown and they
talked to us a bit about how we can improve. Always good! We also heard from
the zone leaders, Sister Training Leaders, and the Assistants. It was a good
long day in Glasgow. We came home and had tea at sister Allans to end the day
off right.
Saturday was also awesome. Marie took us and the elders out
to the Pink Turban, which is this brilliant Indian buffet in Wishaw! I think I
have had more Indian food than Scottish food here. It is soo good though. I
seriously love it all cuz I haveny had anything that I don’t enjoy when it
comes to Indian food! After that we went city centre finding in Hamilton with
our whole district, so the elders and sisters form East Kilbride came over to
join us in talking to people in city centre. Sister Ricks and I got to go on
splits which was awesome! I love teaching with her, we both teach kind of the
same so we got a few really good conversations with people. The elders did some
white board finding and walked around with a white board that said "what
makes you happy" on it, and people were coming up and writing things on
it. I dinny really ask how that went but it seemed successful haha. We also saw
a less active member in a shop and I went in to say hello and she said we could
start meeting with her again! Which is really good, cuz sister watt and I had
met with her a few times then she got busy and kinda dropped us.
This week will be good!
Love,
Sister Hulet
