Week 28 | Hamilton, Scotland

Last week was.. Interesting... I will just leave it at that.

One of the best parts of the week was that I got to go on exchanges with sister Ricks, from east kilbride! She's awesome! She reminds me so much of Brecia so we got along right away! She came to Hamilton on special exchange :) we visited a less active that used to live in east kilbride and just moved to hamilton so we got to visit with her and she fed us some delicious chicken wraps! It was a great night!

Here's a story to tell of our eventful night last night:

So it was getting a bit late and so it was already dark and we were walking home down a back road when this car like flies by us with both his left tires totally blown out, so he was just scraping along and the smell of burnt rubber was mingin! So sister o is like "oh we need to help that person whoever it is!" and I was like okay. So a bit up the road the car had stopped but we could still hear the person pushing the gas and trying to go.. so we looked in and it was a really old guy. so we chapped his window and sister o told him he had two flat tires and he had no clue what was going on.. so he told us he lived just down the road a ways and so we started pushing his car for him. well, it wasnt easy, cuz the tires were totally blown and not really wanting to budge. so here we are, two girls in skirts pushing this car down the road in the pouring rain. so FINALLY some dominos delivery guy pulls over and offers a hand! so there are now 3 of us pushing and we are not making too much progress! The dominos guy knew a bit about cars so he was saying like he had burnt out his transmission or something thats why he was just reving and nothing was happening but the smell just got worse and worse! Then another guy came and started helping and we finally got him close to home and he got a neighbor he knew to come and help him out so once he was in safe hands, we left. We talked a bit to the guys who helped us out and gave them some mormon.org cards but the conversations didn’t go too far religious wise cuz we were all exhausted and standing in the rain. BUT hey is was kind of an awesome night! Pretty funny..

oh and Marie got us haggis and black pudding suppers (they are deep fried and with a side of chips).... the haggis one was actually really good! I just love chippy and irn bru!

Love, Sister Hulet
