Week 27 | Hamilton, Scotland

Pictures 1 and 2: NANDOS

Pictures 3 and 4: A statue in Blantyre about a local guy
who got attacked by a lion

Sadly, i think its about time to retire these boots..
yes that white is my sock.. i'm gonna miss them. they've served me well.
Sister Ross told me i should send them to the guy who talked at conference
about bronzing some missionaries worn down shoes.. maybe i will :)

Last Wednesday we had zone interview training. We went into Glasgow and were instructed by some of our leaders and had interview with president Brown and planner checks.. We talked a lot about family history finding, since our mission is kind of the test mission for using our family history pass along cards and resources and reporting our numbers to the church so they can see how effective it is before incorporating it into other missions. I feel really official in the church when I go to meetings like this and people from the church come and talk to us. I don’t think it still has quite hit me that I am a missionary some times haha.

So after the training we had an appointment back in Hamilton with a referral we got form the sisters in Glasgow, and we brought Lynnmarie with us to joint teach, but he wasn’t in and we were starving cuz we hadn’t eaten anything all day so... we went to NANDOS! They just opened one here and it is soo good! Also Lynn is awesome, I’m just gonna give her a wee shout out real quick cuz I don’t think I have yet ;)

Lynnmarie is like one of the coolest people on the planet! She feeds us every week! The food is always fantastic! She has come joint teaching with us multiple times and one time I went on splits with her and we went chapping! She has the cutest kids ever, Jacob and Gracie. Her house is the best place to be cuz I always feel so comfortable and loved :) She is just the best!

I went on exchanges with Sister Passy, one of the Sister Training Leaders in Paisley. She is really cool! She came to Hamilton. We visited some people and did some finding, but we taught Marie and Victoria that night and she just loved them, obviously cuz they're great. But they fed us and we watched some of the conference talks from last week that they missed. Overall, good exchange.

Sorry this letter is kinda short so..Here is a nice story for you from last week,

So sister Oliphant and I were in a certain area and we decided to stop by a member even though we hadn’t phoned before to set up an appointment or anything but we thought we would pop in for a visit. Turns out she had been praying for someone to visit cuz she had a lot going on in her life and needed some help. When she told us that I just grinned. Nothing really surprises me much anymore, the Holy Ghost can work in crazy ways and even the wee things like that that happen just make me happy!

I love you all!

Love Sister Hulet
