Hiya!
Last week was great! We had family night at the
Duncansons! They fed us, we had a wee lesson on family scripture study, by
Heather, and then we carved pumpkins! Hannah and I carved an awesome
jackolantern with a cool mustache that was throwing up all the insides, and
then Sister Oliphant and Heather carved a tree and a ghost into
theirs! I think ours was the best but... just saying :) They are
such a great family!
On Halloween we were to be in our flats by 6 unless we had
rides to and from appointments. We were chapping about 5 and people kept
coming to the door thinking we were trick or treating.. or not even answering.
haha so we called it quits on the chapping and headed to Marie and
Victoria's for our wee halloween party! Marie cooked us this delicious
meal of chicken, potatoes, veg, and yorkshire pudding! YUM! We had a
good talk about strength in trials and how Satan temps us in the face
of trials and whats most important is how we handle them, whether
they weaken us, or make us stronger. We had a good time, and some exciting
news! Victoria got a job on a tv show! Waterloo Road. It is a
show filmed in Glasgow! She is an extra but she is on set a few times
a week so is in a lot of the scenes as a student! Its really exciting
stuff! She is going to be a huge actress someday :)
Friday we had a chilli dog night with the ward! YEEH! It
was super delicious! I had like 3.. Lynnmarie ate like a million haha. We
watched some Mormon messages, then ate chilli dogs! We played some games as
well and had a lot of fun! Pretty good turn out, The elders investigator came,
along with some less active members. The ward is so great. I honestly just feel
like this is my home ward. Ive been here long enough anyway. I cant believe I
have been here since June! crazy how time flies!
Love, Sister Hulet
